Computer Forensics Quick Analysis Plan

For A Flat Rate Of $595.00 Per Disk Drive, Global Digital Forensics Delivers a Quality, Forensically Sound, Evidence Package and Forensic Report.

At Global Digital Forensics we understand the monetary issues and concerns that arise before commencing a computer forensic engagement.  Global Digital Forensics is able to help you determine if a complete forensic analysis of a suspect system is necessary, and if the return on your investment is going to be justified.

Our "Quick Analysis" service allows you to analyze your data for a “Flat fee” to see if if if potentially valuable data is found.  For instance, if email still exists on the system or if the user installed and ran an evidence elimination program or disk wiping tool. There are rare occasions where a user, well aware of the capabilities of qualified forensic analyst, will attempt to use tools to destroy or hide data.  There are also occasion where a user may not have stored incriminating evidence on a system

GDF will forensically examine a hard drive and search for up to Ten (10) keywords that you supply. We will then forward to you a report that includes every instance of the keywords, whether it is in a deleted file, e-mail message, viewed web page, Word document, or any other active or deleted file that resides on the hard drive. This initial step will help determine if further examination is warranted.

At a cost of $595.00 it allows clients to make an informed decision as to continuing the computer forensic analysis and for Global Digital Forensics to give a precise estimate of hours or, in many cases, flat rate the project.

“Quick Analysis” includes:

  • Up to 1 hour preliminary consultation with the client or attorney

  • Forensically imaging and preserving the systems media to preserve evidentiary value.

  • Extracting both active and latent data (deleted files, deleted emails, etc.)

  • Keyword searching and extracting search hits for up to 10 supplied keywords.

  • Media containing the extracted data by keyword

  • A detailed forensic report of the findings

  • Storage of the subject media and forensic images for up to 1 year

PROCESS:

  1. The suspect hard drive is received, and logged (GDF can supply

  2. A proper chain-of-custody log is created

  3. The suspect drive is forensically duplicated (imaged) using court accepted procedures

  4. The original evidence is properly stored in compliance with court approved procedures

  5. GDF interviews principle to gather facts of the case and clear objectives and a case-specific plan for discovery that is quick and effective

  6. GDF’s Certified Investigators searches the entire hard drive for up to Ten (10) keywords provided by the principle.

  7. All keyword occurrences are extracted and documented in a written Report

  8. GDF assigned lead investigator forwards the complete Report to the principle

  9. GDF’s Investigator explains the findings with the principle and awaits further disposition

  10. The written report will help in determining any evidence or indicators to determine further disposition
