Using several scanning methodologies including scans for known vulnerabilities MaxPatrol also applies Intelligent Scanning Technology based on heuristic algorithms that apply hacker techniques based on the properties of the system or application being scanned. Using this method MaxPatrol can actually find vulnerabilities that are yet undocumented and reduce, the ever annoying, false positives that other scanner can return.
